I Give Up.. I stopped trying.

My wife and I don’t have sex anymore. I have tried and tried to get her to be intimate but it just doesn’t work. We started out hot and heavy, but as the years have come we have done it less and less. A month ago, after I was once again denied by my wife for the 1,000 time. I started doing a little thinking. I decided that I wasn’t going to try anymore. I was just going to give up trying to have sex with my wife. About 2 weeks later, to my suprise, she asked me if I wanted to have sex.. I told her no. Of course this caused her to write a long email to me, explaining things. But Ive been down that road before. I reponded back very politely ad said that her and I would NOT be having sex anymore. That I decided that sex wasn’t an option. I still love her, but im tired of always having to beg and work my ass off to get a little loving. It just wasn’t worth it anymore. I mean in the past 6 months, maybe we have had sex 6 times. And usually, she says something to the effect of.. “Alllll Riiiight, make it a quickie.”

With that said.. I absolutely love sex and im good at it.
The issue is that I started working out again recently. Been Running and lifting weights and other woman are becoming very attractive to me.

It’s only a matter of time before I end up divorcing her and ending up with another woman who enjoys sex. This concerns me a little.
I love my wife and I honestly think she is a great person. But without sex in a relationship we are nothing more then just friends living in the same house.

It’s a shame that it’s going to end this way, but will be… will be.

  1. Talk to each other I think you bigger problem is you are married, live in the same house but communicate via email.???? Why not start there, talk to each other.

  2. don’t give up Sex is important in any relationship. It’s interesting how you brushed off her email explanation. It’s understandable that you and your ego are hurt by her refusal. But she is trying to communicate her feelings to you. You don’t say how old you are or if you have children? Before straying or divorcing, the both of you should get into couples counseling. Explain to her your side..that sex is important to you and the success of your marriage.
It’s possible that your wife is also depressed and not feeling as sexy, so she is turned off to sex in general.

Don’t be angry with her. It sounds like with some effort the both of you can find the way back to one another.
