I came as a foreign student. During my time in college my home country became extremely dangerous, and politically unstable. My parents kept us away. During my junior year my family’s business was burned down. My parents were unable to support me. A friend, a guy in graduate school lived in an off campus two bedroom house and offered that I could stay there rent free. Actually, he paid all the bills including food and clothes. I got a part time job at the on campus library to pay for tuition and books.
When I graduated he also graduated. My visa ended and the only way to stay was to continue in college, I couldn’t afford grad school, or get married. He offered to marry me, on the condition I moved into his bed.
Getting married was hard on me, the most difficult words I ever said, “I do”. He was serious about me moving into his bed. I froze. The doctor said I was frigid. We moved for his job, I got a job. I was able to manage my duties, except intimacy. He moved into another bedroom, and I heard rumors about a girl named Caroline.
Five years went by, by then Caroline slept in our house. She helped with the house duties. We were now 27. My husband told us to come up with a solution to have children. Both of us. For her, because by then I really did love her, for her I let my husband have sex with me. It was worse than going to a dentist for a nerve extraction.
During our pregnancies my feelings for Caroline grew in intensity. We became more affectionate, bordering on intimacy. Until we gave in to each other and became intimate, belly and all.
As long as Caroline remained intimate with him, and filled the role of affection and attention, he didn’t care how intimate or affectionate we were. What did matter to him was that I continue having children. I did, but it was intensely distasteful. Caroline matched me baby for baby, and we have six children between us.
It is no longer a mystery, I am very lesbian. Carolyne is also lesbian, but bisexual enough to please him. Our house is a two Mommies home. We don’t hide our relationship. On our block we are that family with two wives. Our older kids are in grade school, our youngest in preschool. Our love is on our sleeve. The way it should be.
It slipped one night when my mother came for our second babies, the reason my parents wanted me to stay was precisely because I am lesbian. They were convinced there wasn’t a life for me there.
