I was running late for a job I had started within the week and did not want to be late, I needed a shower. I was living in a cabin without running water so I was showering at the university nearby and the women’s side of the locker rooms had little shower rooms with doors and most of the women would take twenty to thirty minutes in there. I showed up and to top it off there was a line, this guy was walking past us and I asked him if the men’s showers were rooms or just open area kind of thing. He told me there were eight showers in a row against the wall then asked why, I picked up my bag and headed in there.
He laughed at first watching me undressing, there a few guys already in there showering but I didn’t care, I took out my shower stuff and walked right in there turning on a shower. They were all really cool about it, told them I was running way late for my job and did not want to show up late, I rinsed off and dried myself then went over and got dressed by the lockers. I told them this was great and maybe I should do this every day instead of the women’s side. They all told me Yes, I should!
I’ve done the same.
I was the only girl in my gym class, só opening and the girls locker/shower room (and cleaning it afterwards) required more work for the ladies than it could and it was down a long hall, so I asked if I could just use the same as the boys and got a yes. I was a bit nervous at first but they were cool with it and treated me like any other boy.
It was fun, too. I didn’t have to be alone.
