I cannot work for women, nothing against them or anything like that but at work for some reason I cannot take women serious. I KNOW IT IS MY PROBLEM so don’t lecture me on women in the workplace doing just as good or better than men. I know this already it is just a weird glitch with me.
So I was at this company going on fourteen years and they hired a new manager, woman and I became her direct report, I looked around to see about a transfer off the team and was asked why by her. I did not want to say because I cannot work for you then she put the words in my mouth asking was it because she is a woman.
I got up and said Well, I am not going to answer that question and I guess I will be putting in my two week notice. I had already been looking laterally for a move but nothing was open and I knew if I stayed working for her my next review would be bad so I bailed.
